Lausanne Lausanne has a long-established reputation when it comes to culture. The offer is vast and the quality of the performances excellent. The headquarters of the Olympic movement, now the equivalent to a modern enterprise, are discreetly housed in a large public park, its superb Olympic Museum, built in a magnificent location on a hillside near the lake by the architects Vazquez and Cahen and which was inaugurated in 1993, attracts more than 200,000 visitors every year.
